Exposure Score
A 0–100 dashboard summary blending breadth, momentum, and trend signals into a single risk-on/risk-off reading.
The exposure score is MarketGrep's headline risk-on/risk-off summary, computed as a weighted blend of breadth (% above moving averages), momentum (distance from 50/200DMA, 30-day return), and trend quality (advance/decline persistence). The output is on a 0–100 scale with a regime label:
- 0–25 — defensive. Broad weakness, momentum negative, trend rolling over.
- 25–50 — neutral lean defensive. Cracks in breadth or momentum.
- 50–75 — neutral lean constructive. Trend intact, breadth healthy.
- 75–100 — risk-on. Broad participation, positive momentum, well-behaved volatility.
What the score is not
The exposure score is descriptive, not prescriptive. It is a current-state reading of conditions, not a buy/sell signal. The dashboard separately exposes the underlying breadth, momentum, and volatility components so you can disagree with the composite.
